Zone 4
Sports Council
Mission
The Council is a volunteer non-profit organization
established to enhance the development of
amateur sport in Zone 4, in cooperation with other agencies.
Goals
-
To
encourage and promote the development of sport in Zone 4.
-
To
assist in the assessment of sport development needs in Zone
4 in cooperation with Provincial Sport Governing Bodies and
other agencies and to facilitate the satisfaction of these
needs.

To
recruit, recognize and train personnel involved in sport
development.

To
ensure participation by Zone 4 in the Saskatchewan Games
Program.

To
encourage and promote the development of community
initiatives in Zone 4 with existing partnerships.
Structure

The Zone 4 Sports Council is based in Yorkton. The Council
consists of a volunteer board of directors
elected from communities within the Zone boundaries. Refer to
Zone
map for boundaries.
There is one paid staff position, a full time Sports
Coordinator. The Council meets on the 2nd Tuesday of
every month, with the exception of July and August.

Boundaries include North to
Lintlaw, to Manitoba border, South to Qu’appelle Valley – Esterhazy, South
to Balcarres, and East to Ituna, Foam Lake.
