What is the NCCP?
The NCCP is a coach training and certification program that is designed to meet the needs of all types of coaches. It is the recognized national standard for coach training and certification in Canada.
The New NCCP
In the past, coaches achieved certification by completing levels I, II & III by finishing all 3 components required for each level (theory, technical & practical). Then Levels 4 & 5 were achieved by completing a number of tasks.
Now the NCCP is changing to a competency-based education and training approach in which coaches achieve certification in a specific stream and context.
